If you guys tell me that there are really not many roads in HK that could use all the HP, then maybe I'll feel better to be trapped in slow poke. What do you guys think?

To be honest, based on the road condition in HK, and the 2 models that you are comparing: the M5 and the E90, I'd rather drive the E90. The reasons are: 1. Power wise, 325 is good enough. You can hardly use the Overdrive 6th gear in HK anyway. 2. There are not that many freeways that allows you to flex the muscle of your M5. 3. BMW's engines are designed for high temperature driving condition (engine temp.), if you drive the M5 in congested road condition all the time, there will be excessive carbon residue sitting in the engine and exhaust system (due to the fact that you cannot bring the car to go beyond 4000 rpm for long, and those carbon cannot be burnt out, which will adversely impact the performance of the car. 4. 2000 M5's trip computer already utilized the adaptive driving system - a computer which can detect your usual driving habbit and to adjust the gear shifting timing, consistently using low rpm and running on low gear (because this is a V8 engine) will eventually coached the computer to closed some of the cylinders to save fuel in urban driving condition. So even you are driving an M5, but you are not fully utilizing the engine. I am not even talking about the operating costs and maintenance costs yet. But you know the answers for each anyway. But the only drawback about the E90 is the back seat which is really small and can only fit 2 adults. If you are hauling a large group all the time, E90 is not that suitable.... In HK, 1.8L engine is very decent already. E90's 2.5L in-line 6 184hp is more than enough. Enjoy the small turning radius and easy to park advantage that only E90 could offers.
